Everybody is ignorant of something, including me, so you shouldn't feel that offended. Yes the idiot thing was a little overboard, but I don't have a problem with believing in something, I have a problem with believing in something without full knowledge of the subject or without reasoning. What I'm ultimately trying to do is to get you to think more in depth about what you believe and why you believe it, because when you go to make your case with somebody and the only rational you can offer is a guy from your church, people will think of you as a dolt. You must make proper, rational statements for your belief.

You don't have to be a christian to study the bible without bias. I have read the bible, and it's accessory books (such as the Gnostic Gospels, the Holy Pibby, and the Book of Mormon,) and found many stories taken from pre-christian stories, and many other discrepancies. The bible is a good book of stories with morals(Aesop-esque,) but I don't think that it is the literal word of a super-being that controls our lives. I have found no evidence that would suggest that anything in the bible is actually written by Yahweh, in fact, I have only found evidence that points to the contrary.

What I am saying is have you ever tried to let God work in your life without bias in your heart?
That is good for you that you have read alot of books ut when I am asking is if you have ever put that bias away 100 percent and let God work in you?

everybody can have there different opinions. I really don't see a point to prove what you belive, belive what you wanna belive and don't give a crap of what other people think. Religion is more important to some than others. Personally i could care less.

Which is exactly why I locked the first one. This keeps getting out of hand and removing our universal bond as fingerboarders. My only problem is with arguments that don't make sense, which I don't think is going to change anytime soon, so I'm kind of giving up on debating this. Make <3 not War.
