skating across America

does it sound too crazy for you? no car, minimul money, and a skate from east to west and back.

I think it was called " Skate 4 Cancer ". Alot of cities don't like you skateboarding and will actually kick you out of the city.

then longboard. its more artsy and the wheels are softer so you can prove youre not doing damage. i say give it a try man. seems epic

but they did a road trip type thing. and it wouldnt be skating spots. skateparks if any on the way.

seems better than going to college for me.
its goin down for sure.
we are gunna document it to the best of our ability and try to get a heck of a lot of publicity.publish my journal of the journey and get some dough.

yeah the money would seem to be an issue

i plan to go beggar- style. asking for spare change the whole way. damn its gunna be great.


my best friend who is goin with me is deaf and he get 700 dollars a month for his disability. he said he'll use that money, but id rather go beggar style.

I believe they drove only when cops told them to get out.. if you see the original documentary they had an old school bus full of supplies and to sleep.. get your local skate shop to sponsor this...

@dillon thats a heck of an idea. closest skateshop is hours away, bu thats still a hell of an idea. im going to highly consider that.

Dillon. A huge thank you to you. I mean a HUGE thank you. I contacted 4 skateshops. Within the hour, a small shop called 2nd Nature (was featured on the berrics) hit me up and I convinced him. A small sponsor, but its support.

That's AWESOME DUDE!!!! CONGRATS!! That will help you out so much because i imagine you breaking boards,bearings and wearing out pairs of wheels and shoes and these guys will give you some supplies. Also it would be nice if you could find a friend with a van, OR what you can do is also get your local beer store,leasing company, any kind of company to lease you a vehicle PLASTERED with the sponsor's ad's. That should get you a free vehicle to sleep and change parts in.. Just tell any bigger company ( like labatt's beer or something ) you'd like a vehicle, more of a cube van and they will supply you with the lease to the vehicle, but it'll say labatts beer all over the vehicle which is a little better seeing how people will notice the vehicle and avoid hitting you.. Just watch the documentary on Skate for Cancer and you'll see how they did everything and made sure they were prepared. trust me, in america, you can make your dreams come true for free, you just have to manipulate the system and get companies to give you money.


Also try asking Flip,element,whatever, to sponsor your event and toss a few decks/wheels/shoes whatever you want your way. If your going to do this, might as well make it for a good cause to get peoples hearts warmed and possibly do something epic in your life like gather tons of money for a cure.

Also see if you could get jason park or someone to ride with you.. that would be super epic! Sorry, i've wanted to do this when i skated alot, i had so many ideas myself after watching Skate for cancer.


PS take a silver sharpie and write " ELA WHEELS" and " WWW.FINGERBOARDSPOT.DARKBB.COM/FORUM" on your griptape so when you hit new's cameras, you'll support us hahahaha

Ill try and get some crazy good friends to come. Idk if jason would be down. especially since hes in hawaii and already has plans to move to cali to go pro.

THats awesome that u wanted to do something like this... ur welcome to come! its a high risk, but worth every second even if we do end up with zero money and completely homeless.
