idk just wondering well i don't really believe everything in the bible. Much of the bible is symbolism and complex metaphors. It is said by biblical scholars that the bible is not supposed to be interpreted literally. Many catholics like myself, take beliefs from catholicism and other aspects of christianity and take and practice your own beliefs from that, which is not a bad thing.

| Hey, be civil about this, the last thing we need is people arguing. It's a debate, not a place to freak on people. Debates require rational thought, not "I believe therefor it is true", it's supposed to be "well, you can't explain this(insert object) without intelligent design." If illegitimate arguments keep coming up this will be locked. This is a fingerboarding site, not a religious forum, I allowed the idea of a debate to try to add something good to this forum but all it seems to be adding is hate-mongering. | |

| Debating is a HUGE part of America. And what Zanthos said, we have a game thread but it doesn't mean it's a game site it's just an add on, and if people want to argue let them unless it becomes a curse war.and this is just my opinion | |

| yeah from what I know, I think they believe that we once lived in an intergalactic planet, but the planet was overpopulated so the Lord Xenu sent us in these like spaceships to Earth, but the spaceships I think crashed into some volcano and our souls roamed around earth looking for bodies which were before souless and the souls took these bodies. I'm pretty sure some of that is false, but it just sounds like some crazy dream that some guy decided he could make money off of. I guess I can't call it ridiculous because people actually do believe this and I shouldn't judge that, but...yeah theres scientology for you | |

Wow your joking right? I asked about scientology becuase I heard that it was on of the biggest jokes in the science world. Noone has proof for that, I just asked becuase I'm too lazy to see what it was entirely about.

| Goombla there isnt any real proof, but people seem to believe it mainly becuse alot of it wraps around previous events in history i could make a religion called glassism and say that all these events happened due to our leader beavus the glass ball maker you never now but you could make up stuff to wrap aroud everything so perfectly that people will believe it. | |

| Yet again the topic of the thread is not being followed. This is a debate, not a discussion about making a religion called youtube-ism. Jonathan's post was legitimate in that he was writing about why people believe in any religion. | |

| Ok hasn't this argument gone on long enough already? I check FB spot everyday and its still this religious debate going back and forth creating grudges with people amoung the fourm. And like it or not we don't get to many new members often. So if all of you want to take sides fine. Its doing 2 things, One: its killing this fourm. Two: THIS IS A FINGERBOARD FOURM, not a religious debate thing. And i'm sure if this debate goes on any longer this is gonna turn everyone againt each other eventually. | |
