| So I've decided to make a concrete bowl out of a concrete variation, called Plaster-of-Paris. Its what I have and it's cheaper. WAY CHEAPER. So I think what I'm going to do is take a cardboard box and fill it with top-soil, and the dig out the concave shape that I want. After that I'm going to create the mix of Plaster-of-Paris, water, and mix it all up. Then I'll pour it into the shape and let it harden. Im using the plaster because i've been told its smoother and cheaper, along with easier to use. So then I'll take the top soil out and fill in the corners, or unfilled spots with newspaper. Its easier that being explained. But I don't know if there is any better way to do it. All I know is that I'm going to use Plaster-of-Paris, and a cardboard box. Any suggestions? | |

| um i think that plaster can scrape easy but if you do use it, then you shood try to put coping in or at sand it down till its at its hardest point...and if you want sumtin cheap but better then plaster? then get cast and paint | |

| Get a boal and some paper towel, dip them into the plaster and layer it on, this usually makes it a more stronger and has a nice rough feel. You should sand though and some coping |

| EDIT: I tried my idea. HORRIBLE. When I scooped it into the dirt, it stuck and didnt smoothen out. Best to just make it in the ground with QUIKRETE. LOL | |
