"Dont look at me! I'm.... Fingerboarding?"

Okay, i just want your opinions. I guess this is more to Those of you who are still in Elementary, Middle, or High School.

Ive talked to a few ppl about this, and i want to get a bigger perspective. Do you find it embarrasing to FB at school?
Ive had a few ppl tell me they would get teased and s*** about it. Even had two people tell me to be discreet about it on their facebook, and not to post about it.

I mean, Im a senior in high school now, and I literally do it every day at school like since 6th grade. It never occured to me it was something to hide as if it were some bizarre sexuality. Maybe it was because I had a table of fb-ers in 9th grade lunch, but I didnt before that, and i dont now.

I get a variety of responses. just today a girl walked up to me "whoa, that is sick! I wish I could do that!"
sometimes i get stares lol, but over all people dig that s***!

So whats your opinion? do you not give a f***? or do you try and hide your hobby like a dirty little secret?

well, in your situation i can see why your so open about it, you have tons of fb friends at your school and you have been doing it at school for years. In your case i would keep it up. I have done it at school but i like to keep it away from school, i have had people take them and pretend to ride it like a skateboard (im not bullied or anything, just a large black man). So now i just fb at home usually, im not too ashamed of it , most of my friends know.

Yeah. I was. It got so bad that I told everyone in my 9th I quit just t get them to stop and I only told like 5-6 people that I fingerboard and it been two years. I did not enjoy my first year of high school because of it.

Then they do some quintiple tre flip 30 feet in the air and it slams the fan and flies across the room. Then I look like a snob if I say how much ytrucks, g7.1ds, and a Berlin wood is worth lol. Not a true story, but it happens!

i generally hide it. mainly because i dont fb too much in public, its always been an at home hobby. im homeschooled but i go to a resource center (so im not a loser ) and 90% of the kids their are retarded lol. so if it came down to embarrassment, id avoid it but its not the end of the world

oh i see. i met a jew who was homeschooled. he was like amazed at me. he wanted to be my friend so bad lol. homeschooled kids are cool lol

theres different types. the sheltered ones are CRAZY smart though. its ridiculous

I tend to fingerboard on my desk, which is a private area. I wouldn't care either way, though.

Saturday I was at the local Farmers Market and when I had free time from not working there and stuff, I sat down on the bench and had a nice little sesh. People walked by and stared at me for a little while then a guy started smiling at me and said it was really cool to see skateboard tricks done on skateboards for your fingers. I thought that was really cool! Then little kids and their moms walked by and stopped and watched. It was really interesting to see the outcome of how many people were interested in watching me! It looks like I'm doing something right!
