Where do you think the scene will go?

Do you think the scene will ever expand to be really big?

I don't think it will go that big. We're just too small of a minority.

Its already gottem so big! It will go so much bigger if there were stores that weren't online

Even if it don't im still gonna fingerboard. It all really just like more underground there are a few good legit companys within fbing already. Thats still pretty good considering

i think mass production is gonna try to take over but all people who care abotu the hard manuel labor by just normal people to make boards is gonna drive them to buy products from places liek flatface,nocomply, etc.
but i also belive it will expand and grow more
to infinity and beyond

It's already gotten too big for its own good in some ways. Sometimes, when I see 10 pages of fighting in an FFI thread, or a kid who can barely kickflip with a $150 dollar setup, I feel like I'm watching my favorite hobby die and I can't do anything about it.

It's not rich parents, it's the over abundance of credit given out to those who can't really afford it.

The "scene" is just a bs term that a lot of us seem to hide behind, to mask the true purpose: turning a profit. Todd is what I would consider one of the few people who really help fingerboarding. I have not once received extras from flatface other than a couple stickers. Or from BRR. Granted, Mike was a pioneer back in the day when he was putting out the G4s and G5s, and making wheels, but now that he has quality control and a nice system, he just makes money. The only thing that I think he does to support the "scene" is Rendezvous, and even then It's about sponsors and product. Jordan Green is another person I would say has a real interest in fingerboarding, he provides quality products for decent prices.

Fingerboarding will not grow as a culture until we get rid of the materialism and focus on the real thing that matters: the act of fingerboarding. We need to promote fingerboarding the way we do skateboarding, as a way to have fun and keep people "off the streets." What we need is a Street League for fingerboards, what we need is to enjoy ourselves no matter what our set up is or what kind of camera we have.

100% in agreement with you. There's so much bullshit in fingerboarding right now, and whether we like it or not, where all harboring a bit of it if we stand by and do nothing.

That's why FFI agitates me so much sometimes. It's raging egos as far as the eye can see, and people are so self-righteous about not fighting that you can't call bullshit on someone who doesn't have their head on straight without every annoying little brat on the forum jumping on you and flaming you. Look at Zac Mclean (TheMachine on FFI) for example. He tells it like it is, and he's not afraid to let people know when he thinks they're doing something wrong, but he gets hated on like crazy just for stating his opinion.

I agree with everyone but if everyone keeps doing what you guys are saying they do like fighting and stuff then the scene will die. I personally have put so much into supporting companies and I would hate to see that go to waste. I also think that people these days need to be more originall.
