Times for a little rules refresher!

Since we're both moderators, I suggest we come up with a new set of rules.

-NO fighting/starting fights.

•If we see a fight, the involved members will be banned for four days.
•If we see someone trolling they get banned for one week.
•If someone continues a fight after the topcoat has been locked, they will be banned for two weeks.

-Nothing innapropriate.

•This is basically self explainatory.

-----

-Dont EVER bump threads over a week old.

•Only exceptions are sticky threads.

These might already be listed in the official rules thread, but theyarent always followed, so it's good to post them again.

Zanthos, if you have any to add, just edit them in.

New rules for transactions-

DON'T even POST in the thread unless you have an offer, or you see somemajor flaw in the trade they are offering. Like if they say it's a bwom, and it's clearly just a crappy deck, you can say that. I DONT want posts that sag things like "Nice deck", "Good deal", and so forth. This is considered spam, and I do not want it. Anyone caught doing this over three times will be banned for a week.

thats not cool
people just start fights, it happens. 4 day ban is not cool, i think it should be like 1 day ban honestly

on other forums its 3 weeks old. one week is too early

Taylor, I will only ban the person that STARTS the fight AS LONG AS the other person doesn't start fighting with them.

Also, I don't care what other forums are like. If you like their rules more, go on those forums.

one week is too short

You have to enforce strict policies in order for the punishments to work. If we were to ban people for 1 day for fighting, they would just keep fighting, you have to make it long enough that they will get annoyed. Only then will the point become clear to the person who commits the infraction, thus success.

Zanthos has been mod for a couple days. Me about a week.

Trolling is adding negative/irrelevant comments just to start fights/get someone mad.

idk about starting the fight rule. first of all, its hard to point out exactly whats a fight and what isn't. also people can say something that is misinterpreted and starts a fight even if the person didn't intend to start a fight.

The mods will be the judge of whats a fight and what isn't.

The misinterpretation thing? Of course. I think the mods will be able to figure out if someone is trolling. And it's still very simple to fix, just post clearly!

Exactly. If everyone states what they mean and means what they state, then it'll be all good. I think there will be a sufficient enough response to any problems encountered.

i guess what i am trying to say is like how when toasty i got in that "argument" if you can even call it that, over the special olympics thing. i just think for something like that, it was still sort of a fight but you can't really say either of us specifically started a fight. and by no means by saying this am i trying to start that back up toasty

Nah, that wasn't a fight. And basically, any members involved in a fight will be banned for a short period of time. There's a difference between arguing (when civil) and trolling/fighting just for the sake of trolling and fighting. If two members have a disagreement, THEY TAKE IT TO PM's.
