FB SPOT hit the line contest

As you guys know we are going to have a organized hit the line contest. Please do not put your video in this thread as this will serve another purpose.

I want to take charge and organize this event if everyone is okay with that.

We still need sponsors to be able to give away prizes. People who own companys please pm me about prices. Harvey can you spare a pacl of ex tape? please pm, and once we get everything sorted out then i will create the official thread with rules and such

If you get enough people to do it, you could probably get flatface to sponsor or BRR.
They sponsor alot of events.

Hit The Line is a name already taken, we need something original for the name. To Toasty and Harvey: sponsoring this event would be a great marketing opportunity.

How bout this: FingerboardBest-spot-line contest. You need to do a 3 trick line on/at your favorite spot. Mines is my kitchen countertop. It has a wide surface area, and long enough to do a line.

No. People like me would have the advantage of living somewhere with epic spots like on a mountain or something.

This isn't skating, it's fingerboarding.

I say-

Minimum of three tricks, and no more than five.
Non FFI.
Flatground or ramped.
And 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

First place prize could be like a complete. Helio trucks, Beast Deck, ex tape, and some nice wheels.
Second place is a ramp of some sort.
Third is maybe a package of EXtape and a load of stickers.

As for the name, don't do hit the line. Be original.

Fingerboardspot's Own the Spot?

I like that, Own the spot, or maybe something like Fingerboard Spot's Spot Check Look for an original spot and film something amazingly epic there.

thought it is a great idea. but still i wanna clarify some stuff:

there is no way we are going to get huge companies since the active user base of fbspot is quite low
the contest is just within the community, there is a high chance of winning. as such , you should have a fixed criteria, letsay, a 5 trick line, 30 seconds of vert footage, or maybe everyone copy the a fixed line. ( which might occur as a problem) count me in, i am allowed to resume all activities within 5 days. YAAAAY

The problem with that is not everyone has a ramp, or even does vert(I know I don't.) We should stick to the basic street stuff. Copying a line would just be a big stylathon, which can get boring fast.

Do you people know how a line contest works? I say we have two categories. Street or vert.

Street is anywhere from 5-20 tricks.
Vert is anywhere from half a minute to a minute and a half.

Also, users can submit one entry to each category.

A line contest is usually limited to around 30-60 second videos. and vert doesn't count as a line. The one entry thing is a duh.

The judges shouldn't be able to vote for themselves. =P
