| Hi, yesterday, i was fingerboarding on my homemade rail, i think i was trying kickflip nosegrinds and my board kept getting stuck to the rail, like the rail goes inbetween the deck and the truck. This happened a few times and my kingpin snapped from getting the rail stuck between the truck and deck is this common? + im quite new to fingerboarding so im a bit unsure and i was using TD deck, TD wheels and tuned TD trucks. | |

| You did not have the Kinpin all the way in correctly, I would suggest using pivot cup material to make sure you have the kingpin's secure. | |

| Yes it is common. IT happens to everyone sometime. But as X-ROD said, it may be in incorrectly. | |

| Well the first problem is your using a tech deck. jk man, tech decks are the best starter boards out there. Yes it is common, my td baseplates came with threading in them bu the threading got stripped so now i have to shove pivot cups down in there to my king pins stay. Anyways to answer your question, it is fairly common. | |

| Thanks for the help, i dont know if it was in properly or not. I dont think it was overtightened because i dont keep the trucks really tight, i bought them from summit hardware, i also got some non bearing screws and they all bent, so the kingpins might be weak aswell. Ive ordered one of the no comply completes, it should come soon so i wont be using a messed up deck much longer | |

| go get fbs or nocomply BLACK kingpins.those last almost forever. summit kingpins are seriously incompatible in many new techdeck baseplates. definitely use some pivot cupping to secure the kingpin because its gonna be damn hard for the new kingpin to tap its own threads in metal. | |

| yeah bro, i have the black ones, the newest tech deck baseplates have threads for the kingpins so they work without shoving some pivot cups down in there | |

| hey man if you bought bearing tuning from flatface i sudgest you dont use it cause as you said it always bent. i sudgest you dont get tuning from summit as thier tunings suck balls. why dont you get some tuning from either no comply or springfield fingerboards. | |
