My view of Sponsorship

Subject: My view of Sponsorship Sun Jun 28, 2009 1:31 am

Hey guys. I have noticed that pretty much every fingerboarder on youtube has made a video titled "Plz Sponsor ME!" or just "Sponsor me!" I think people see sponsorship the wrong way. I mean, everyone wants to be big on youtube and be able to get free stuff but thats not the point of be sponsored.

Being sponsored means:
1. Being involved with the company-
Keep in touch
Offer suggestions for their website
2. Review their products-
Don't just say good things about the product, make sure you focus on what needs to be fixed so their products are very legit.
3. Make adds
Don't do stupid silly ones where you say like "_________ Fingerboards are the best! Buy them now!" Be detailed and maybe add some good tricks to the vid.

Also, people think that if you are not sponsored, you are a noob. This is not true. For some people, not being sponsored takes the fun away from fingerboarding. Fingerboarding is not about being sponsord and getting free stuff, its about contributing and having fun!

So if you are not sponsored, don't worry! Just keep getting better and having fun!

Yah i didn't mean to say it was bad to be sponsored, sorry if i did. Oh I saw that on FBWeekly but I didn't copy that

being sponsored takes great responsibility in promoting the product. Some people just want free items and that is not exactly what acompany is looking for in a sponsored player.

i agree. guys i think this thread should be stickied. it really makes sense so companies wont choose some dicks who like say a buttload of good things just for free stuff and do nothing. in short terms, its like working for the company

sponsorship cannot be put any better than, "it's like working for the company"
