bearings

Does anyone know what sized bearings are used for fingerboard wheels?

It's extremely small. I did have some measurements for it awhile ago. All I can say is most likely you're going to have to get them custom made. I might be able to dig up the old measurements.. But I doubt it.

If you could please help me find it, it would be greatly appreciated, i'm going to be making wheels and would love to have bearings in them. I remember years ago they were using bearings out of a gas powered r/c car. If you did them up and possibly get a good quote on prices you might see a pair in your mail box. lol

All I can say is, if you want to make quality bearing wheels, you better be ready to invest thousands of dollars into it.

The RC one's weren't a perfect fit. I remember it.

The ID of the bearing is extremely small. like .025 inches... I think and the OD is kind of up to you.

craaap,you think thousands? i wasn't antisipating 1000's,i was hoping to buy in small bulks and buy as i get orders.. i know to make the wheels themselves i can make them for a fair price and they will come in white,black, colour,and clear colour and all can come with graphics on the face of the wheel.. but the price of bearings might mess with me, specially while im investing into the trucks more than anything else.

well you could always go around to differeent sites asking what their MOQ is...
and then shipping cost for them are.
i'm investing in bearing wheels too! i'll probably get them around after X-mas

All I'm saying is if you want bearing wheels that will actually be a competition for NC or FF, you better be ready to invest a lot.

true, but how much has todd gotten back because i highly doubt he just dropped 100k like nothing, he must have ordered a small ammount , sold them then used that money to buy more and ect...

exatically. that i can see spending 100k, maybe... i dont see a fingerboard company costing that much without being HUGE.. but then again what do i know.. im to old school.

thats $1 million. i seriously doubt that. hes only been a big company for like 4 years, probably earning around 60,000 a year

true...

either way i wouldn't mind starting the wheels with a still polyurethane meterial, it'll be rubbery but stiff like a real wheel. and come in all colours.
