Wooden Techdecks

Has anyone tried one of them? I've seen them at walmart, target, etc. and i dont know if they're worth buying.
Let me know what you think about them.

they suck. They have no shape and no pop.

I got a santa cruz one, the graphics are really good but the decks are absolute crap, dont buy no matter what, your much better getting a fingerdecks.com d1

dude if i were you i would buy one seriously the deck is bad but just get them FOR THE TRUCKS the trucks are amazing but somehow i tried my friends wooden tech deck, his board was shit and my board was great i have no idea why?

The trucks ARE different. actually. The decks have no kingpins holes, so the trucks have the same like kingpin style but it doesn't come out the bottom

Yeah i noticed there was no kingpin hole. The kicks are way to low, and the holes looked like they werent straight. Im happy i didnt buy one. They look like shit.

they have a shit shape and ship pop. dont buy them its so expensive and not worth it at all. the plastic ones are WAAY better

Actually I disagree with most of you, it is probably because you weren't smart enough to use riptape or fbs extra smooth instead of the griptape, because with extra smooth its actually really good. I don't personally have one but I've tried my friends and for $10, its about 10x better than any homemade one from fingerdecks or any other pointless company. No offense to fingerdecks, but I think their boards stink.

^ we wernt smart enough? im not putting rip or especaily fbs on a tech deck.
And we said that the shape is horrible, and theres not pop.

haha you can put rip or fbs on any deck, that doesnt make it good

I've had like three and the first one, one of the holes was off, the second one was fine, and the third one was super thin and kind of warped.

nolliewood, thats a completely different issue. when a deck so mellow has such a soggy pop, event good tape cannot make it better.

@Barbarian: Actually you are completely wrong, the shape is decent. Just because it doesn't have high kicks or outragious concave doesn't mean the shape sucks. I like it better than my Frost g2 mellow. And if your not willing to put extra smooth or riptape on a "stupid" tech deck, then your obviously not looking to get a good setup.

The board sucks. My little Brother has one, and he hates it. It has a good graphic, sure, but the shape is horrible. it's like buying a skinny piece of wood. DO NOT BUY,

Frost G2's are good but really LONG.

mine has a fine shape. good dips and it's not too mellow. i have a very mellow preference though, so i guess my perception of mellow is a lot lower than the traditional medium preference.and yes, i put uncut rip on mine, and it performs just as good as any other deck. to me, no real difference between Wood TD's and other deck co's.

BIGGEST waste of $$ ever! I bought 1 and wasted a peice of Toxic tape on it thinking id use it if it had it on...nope. =( ima try and rip off a middle schooler and sell it for like...15$.(I got my mom to buy it from Walmart for 12)

I broke mine, on purpose. There is one thing, the graphics scratch nicely, just like a real skateboard.

As for dips, nothing. As for concave, nothing. As for kicks, next to nothing. Also, the included grip wore out the first day I used it. I'm suing Tech Deck for being retarded.

And a techdeck is not a good setup, okay? lmao.
I've been fingerboarding for almost 3 years, i know what im talking about.

TD blows. Period. I only buy a TD when I need a plastic deck to experiment with making new molds( they are very pliable and can make a decent mold starter when melted and bent.) The only thing they got right is how they do the paint.

The trucks are OK I guess, your right though, the shape is pretty crappy.

THEY ARE TECH DECKS, THEY ARE NOT EVER GOING TO BE GOOD. THEY TRY DESTROYING COMPANIES INSTEAD OF HELPING THEM
